About us

Welcome to RCCG, Rehoboth Parish, St Albans

RCCG, Rehoboth Parish is part of the family of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), one of the ~900 RCCG parishes in the United  Kingdom. Our mother church is Jesus House, headed by Pastor Agu Irukwu. Based in Brent Cross, London, Jesus House is one of the fastest  growing churches in the United Kingdom.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God is a member of Churches Together in England.

About us:
We are a house of prayer, evangelism and social action. Our primary focus is to share the love of Christ through the work we do in the community.  We are passionate about winning souls to Christ, transforming and restoring lives and helping individuals to maximize their God-given potential.

Rehoboth Parish is:
• A place of Fruitfulness - A place of growth and increase
• A place of Restoration - A place where everything which we have lost in our lives are restored
• A place of Refreshing - A place where our lives are refreshed by the word of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit
Our Vision: To love is to serve; to serve in spirit and in truth in obedience to God
Our Mission: To serve God by positively impacting the lives of the people in the community in which we serve.
Social Outreach: The word which God gave us when we were sent out on mission was that the church should be community focussed, meeting the  needs of the community in which we serve.
Rehoboth Parish provides free Sunday lunches to the community.

In 2022, RCCG, Rehoboth Parish gave out 32 Christmas hampers to folk in St Albans.

Board of Trustees: The church is currently served by a 3-person board of Trustees.

About the Pastors:
RCCG, Rehoboth Parish, St Albans is Pastored by Drs David and Patricia Davies. They are both ordained ministers in the Redeemed Christian  Church of God.

David and Patricia are passionate about propagating the work of God in the community and are looking to extend the annual ‘Hertfordshire Day of  Prayer’ and the Hertfordshire Youth Event; ‘Let’s Chat’ to other churches in Hertfordshire.

Pastor David Davies has a burden for young people and his desire is to see them thrive and succeed in their God-given potential. To this end,  David,  who holds a PhD in Chemistry, spends his time developing secondary school, undergraduate and postgraduate students in St Albans by  providing free tutorials in Chemistry and other sciences to them in addition to his Pastoral duties.

In addition to working with her husband as Pastor in Rehoboth Parish, Patricia, who holds a PhD in Chemistry and Pharmacology, spends a great  deal of her time on prayer, evangelism and women’s ministry.

Pastor Patricia has a burden for women and her desire is to see women succeed, for marriages to thrive and family lives to blossom. She leads the  Hertfordshire Women of Prayer Ministry; a robust Women’s Ministry with a focus on prayer and the word of God and building strong family  relationships, not only for members of Rehoboth Parish, but for the wider global community.

Patricia holds a CPCAB certificate in counselling and provides a free counselling service not only for members of RCCG, Rehoboth Parish, but also  for anyone who needs such help.

 Our beliefs:

We believe that the bible is the inspired word of God

We believe that the bible, as originally laid down by God is without error and was written by men who were fully inspired of God and that it is accurate and infallible.

We believe that the word of God settles forever all matters of faith and conduct to the Body of Christ.
We believe that the Godhead comprises the Father, Jesus the Son of God and the Holy Spirit and that they exist co-equally and co-eternally.

We believe in the born again experience in order to secure eternal life and have fellowship with the Father.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, He walked the earth testifying of the Kingdom of God, was crucified and on the third day He rose again and is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for the Saints.

We believe in the rapture and second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born again. in accordance with John 3:16 and Romans 10:9-10 which tell us we must believe in Jesus and make a confession of faith and submission for His Lordship over us.

We believe that the new birth gives us access to God and all the blessings and benefits of the Kingdom.
We believe in the redemptive power in the Blood of Jesus.
We believe in accordance with John 14:6 that Jesus Christ is the way the truth and life and that no man can come to the Father except through Him. He is the gateway of life and the Captain of our Salvation.

The Holy Spirit is gracious, merciful and is the Author of all grace, Who shows men their ignorance, want, guilt, misery, and danger and leads them to repentance and peace according to the will of the Father.

The Message of the Cross:

The message of the Cross of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the message of his victory over sin and death on an old rugged cross.

We have been called to share the message of the cross with others. Perhaps you once heard of Jesus or you used to know Jesus or you are still in touch with Jesus. Today He is calling all; small and great, young and not so young to come to Him to find rest for their exhausted soul; indeed His yoke is easy and his burden light.

He is the light of the world, our help in times of trouble, our light in the midst of darkness, our strength when we are weak, our hope when all else fails, the friend that never leaves us nor forsakes us... the Saviour of the whole world.

He is calling us today to stop for a moment and consider His great love for us and His wonderful plan for our lives. Will you take a moment today?

Community:

Join us. We invite and welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's unconditional love with us. Inside each of us is a purpose and meaning to be fulfilled by God.

Youth Ministry

We are looking to build a robust Youth Ministry in our church; please invite young people in your communities to come and join us. As a church, we are partnering with ‘Youth With A Mission’ (YWAM) in Harpenden and with YWAM St Albans. Our vision is to develop spiritually strong and capable young people and empower them to go out into the world and succeed in their respective vocations and maximize their God-given potential. A major part of this ministry is our "Let’s Chat" Youth Event which we are looking to extend to other churches in Hertfordshire.
